CHARECTERISTICS PERFORMENCE OF INSTRUMENTS

                                                             UNIT-1

PERFORMENCE OF CHARECTERISTICS INSTRUMENTS

THESE ARE TWO TYPES

1. STATIC CHARECTERISTICS

2.DYNAMIC CHARECTERISTICS

STATIC CHARECTERISTICS: it is a time invarying process condition
static charecteristics are generally consider for the instruments for which under time invarying condition
if it can be determined from one form to another form based on the calibration
some basic deffination of these charecteristics are shown bellow

INSTRUMENT:it is a device used to determined the present value under the quntity of measurement

MEASUREMENT: it is defined as comparession of unknown value with the standered desired value

ACCURACY: The degree of exatness compare to the expected value

EXPECTED VALUE: it is nothing but the desined value
ERROR: The deviation of the true value from the measure value

SENSITIVITY: it is defined as the ratio of changing the output to the change in the input

sensitivity= change in output / change in input

RESOLUTION: Asmallest change in a measured variable to which an instrument will respond

PRECESION: A measure of the consistency

                                 (or)
A precesion is the consisting of the instrument output  for the given value of input
